As part of the implementation of the Department of Health’s Primary Mental Health Care reform activities, Primary Health Networks (PHNs) have been tasked to commission services to meet regional needs, including regional approaches to suicide prevention. Through the initial years of commissioning regional suicide prevention approaches SWSPHN observed a growing need for a men’s specific approach to suicide prevention as evidenced though key learnings observed in regional co design sessions, consumer and carer meetings, suicide prevention networks and the recent mental health and suicide prevention regional planning process.
Interested parties are invited to submit a grants proposal to South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN) in accordance with the instructions for proactive approaches to suicide prevention for men in South Western Sydney.
